MEDIRAS aims to reduce the cost of water produced through Membrane Distillation, make the technology suitable for a wider spectrum of end-users and integrate systems that monitor and maintain the water quality until it reaches the consumer. Also a strategy will be elaborated for bringing the product to the market. For achieving the ambitious objectives, a consortium with experienced partners has been put together to implement the carefully designed work-programme. The project is structured in the following four main phases:
